Suzanne goes to work today and I clean up while the kids are playing together (rather well, I would say). We have a birthday to attend at 1:30pm, and then dinner with Kim and Pascal at the "Quartier Général" at 6:00pm (they have two reservation times, 6:00pm and 9:00pm. You can't ask for 7:00pm).
We made it at the party a bit late (something we don't do often). The kids had a great time.
Everyone had a great time and Melanie had prepared really cool games most of the kids love playing.
Afterwards we had to "almost" fly out of there, go get the special bottle I reserved at an SAQ for the supper (Quartier Général is a BYOW). I brought a Chateau Destieux Saint-Emilion Grand Cru 1998, a wine that is just grandiose and explodes in taste within the first taste. A wonderful wine.

Pascal brought a Riesling Cuvée Frédérick Emile Trimbach 2004, an excellent white that just yelled Riesling (even through my semi-blocked nose) but tasted wonderful.

You could really say we had two great wines with an equally amazing supper. For about $60 per person (which is delightfully inexpensive compared to the usual) the meal is just really good, a dot close to being a wow. Try it.
