A day of running

First, it was Mathieu's Christmas Breakfast at school. Next was Newlook for a new set of contacts. Then work. Then Newlook to get my eyes checked. And Stokes. And Indigo. And IGA... It just didn't stop.

It's more then coincidence, sometimes.

I hate the hourly change. Spring forward my ... Everyone is tired, Suzanne is burning up, the kids have long lines under their eyes and I'm having so much problems going to bed at night, and then waking up in the morning.

Tomorrow is the annual St-Patty's bake sale at school and I'm one of the few volunteers who is there to help set this up and sell stuff to the kids. Mathieu is going to help too. Now today is an off schedule day because Mathieu had karate at school and I had to go get him an hour after going to get Sabrina. Plus I was missing some sugar for the cupcakes I want to make for tomorrow so I had to go to the grocery store with the kids to get some.

By the time I got the kids to bed I hadn't started on the cupcakes, had not clean the dishes nor washed the kid's lunch (meaning no lunch tomorrow) and their green clothes were wet in the wash. I was going to do it after the kids fell asleep.

I fell asleep too.

A strong, deep solid sleep that nothing would have woken me from until tomorrow when I would have been in complete disarray (and in big poo-poo).

Except that at 8:30pm, someone call me on the cell phone, waking me up. It was a wrong number. Doesn't happen often.

But tonight, it happened at the right time. I'm still tired, but the dishes are being washed, the clothes are drying and the cupcakes are cupcaking...

Mathieu and I just came back from helping Sabrina's class sell popcorn for their upcoming activities. I didn't get to see Sabrina at all, for some reason she couldn't come and help us. However, Mathieu was a real help giving us a hand and all. Alexandre's parents and Kiara's mom were also there.

Too bad we didn't get to see Sabrina. I got a glimpse of her in her gym class and she seem to be having a lot of fun, really participating and running everywhere.

It was a normal day today. I cleaned up some, put more caulking on the bath as it was leaking a bit. The kids and I went to St-Hubert where we were met by Suzanne.

After a nice quick meal we went to the theatre to see The Adventures of Tintin. I can only say one thing: wow. What an amazingly well made movie. It's worth it to see it again, and to own. It's as ground breaking as Avatar was.

It's amazing with Spielberg and Jackson have been able to achieve. For this one I say: Thank-you. I can't wait for the sequel (and the Hobbit, next year).
