Family Dinner

We had a wonderful family supper at Amy and Nick's. It's so pleasant to be together. We had a really great time and I'm looking forward to the next reunion. Love everybody very much. We all had a great time except for Pinot. He couldn't wait to get back home.

Today we went to visit Suzanne's family in Richmond to celebrate Thelma's sister Joyce's birthday. Thelma came down from Gaspé to be there so we got to see her, as well as Carol and Peter (Interim Grandpa). I got to connect with many of them they are really nice folks, very similar to my own family. Here are a few pictures...

This morning we woke up and there were ducks in the pool.

Manifestations étudiantes -> pour ceux qui n'y croit pas, Les chiffres parlent: sur 6.2 millions de contribuables, seulement 2.8 paient des taxes. 79% de ces contribuables ont un salaire de $50k et plus (4.1 % font plus de $100k et paient 47.7% du total). Dans sa vie, un Universitaire paye $916,043 en impots, un collégial $536,856, quelqu'un avec un secondaire $271,766 (chiffres de Stat Can pour Quebec 2009).

Donc, si il y a une augmentation d'impots pour payer l'Université, c'est surtout les universitaires qui vont payer la facture.

Je comprend que la plupart du monde sont short-term thinking ( pas d'épargne pour leur retraite est un bon example ). L'Université abordable par tous, c'est du long-term thinking, un investissement pour tous au Québec.

Dans notre famille, c'est de coutume que les parents paient l'éducation de leurs enfants. ( nous allons faire notre job jusqu'au bout ). Nous sommes assez chanceux pour pouvoir le faire. Pas tout le monde l'est.

Je sais que ces plate, les manifestations, mais si vous avez une meilleure idée pour qu'ils puissent faire pression et que ca marche, dites leur au lieu de vous plaindre.

I'm a strong believer in good and affordable education.

The kids and I went in the Townships to buy our season's passes for Bromont. We then went to visit Amy's Flea Market, and finally had a coffee at Mom's place. The kids had a great time running in the backyard.

We had a very nice time. The kids were sleeping at 8:00pm. Suzanne and I were able to spend some quality time together.

Mom's Birthday Party; Alex's Birthday Party; Easter Bunny Request

Last night we all fell asleep at the same time. 8:00pm. Just to say we have a very busy day today. The kids and I go to Indigo to get the Hunger Games trilogy:
