Let's start this day with a beautiful time-lapse video of the world. It teaches us to appreciate not only the beauty of nature, but of mankind itself, as we can create beautiful things too.

While getting Sabrina at school, Mathieu and I had a discussion about infinity, starting with his question:

Mathieu: "What's after infinity? Does it start over?"

How can I answer that question when no one can fully answer it with facts in hand? Another Mathieu special...

Genetically Enhanced Food

I have nothing against science. In fact I absolutely believe in science. Where I have issues is when business and profits trump science. We can talk about the possible effects of WiFi on our health where some people find they get headaches when they're close to a WiFi base. It being a relatively new technology it's hard to determine whether or not it really does effects on the human body. It is possible though but we need more facts.

One that we have more facts on are genetically enhanced foods. While I am kinda for the idea in principal, I personally believe that when dealing with foods we should have very long testing times before we go full production on playing with basic foods, at the generational level (20-40 years perhaps). Unfortunately, that's way too long term for corporations who want to profit now.

Robin O'Brien found herself in the middle of the debate when one of her kid had an allergic reaction to food (Sabrina is deadly allergic to peanuts, to a point that it changes our life). She started to do research on genetically enhanced foods, when they came in, and the surge in cancer and allergies in the U.S. Her findings are quite interesting. I invite you to watch this TED video and read her book:

She's a fascinating woman.

Once the kids were in bed tonight, I went to have supper with Max at Soba Sushi in NDG (or Westmount). I had a great time, I really like Max he's quite intelligent and has very solid opinions on different types of subjects.
