What do you call it when both your kids call you from their bedroom ay 5:47am, thirteen minutes before official wake up time? What do you call it when you go lie down with them and say "five more minutes kids, five more minutes?" The pre-snooze. Then when 6:00am comes around and my alarm (iPhone) rings, I actually click on the official snooze button to get well-deserve nine minutes of extra sleep. Of course, if you have kids, you know that they're 1) listening to the gurgles in your stomach 2) stating every minute that they're hungry and 3) asking one another not to put their head/hand/foot on their pillow/blanket/head.
I know it's kind of a boring day (you know the rain) and it's just a normal one too. Get up, feed kids, make lunches, wait for Emily, bring Sabrina (and piano) to school, come back, clean, bring Mathieu and Emily to school, work, get Mathieu bring to Baobab, work, get Sabrina (and piano), work, get Mathieu, cook dinner, homework, bath, bed.
It think that sums it up. the picture above describes homework time: Sabrina works, Mathieu plays with Lego. Next year, I expect both to be doing work.
I know I'm a House Elf working on his own startup (www.onehappykid.com) but I do have dreams and expectations. Let me share with you a car that has tickled my sweet spot. The Mercedes SLK. There's just something about it that's telling me that I should soon feint a mid-life crisis to justify...
Don't take me wrong, I'm still smitten by the Volvo XC90. It's so utilitarian though. The car above spells fun. I imagine driving down the highway for a weekend getaway with Sue... I think we'd have fun.
