"I forgot about morning" states Mathieu as he wakes up. The kids woke up late this morning, around 8:00am (for once on a weekend). Today we're starting to decorate the house for Christmas. We've had a bit of Xmas music playing here and there, but now is time to deck the halls. Some of the music we tend to listen to:

If you're looking for a gift for Suzanne, this is one of her favourite Christmas movies. She even talked to me about last night after we went to see Tintin:

"Is it real?"
That's Mathieu's question to Suzanne as he's watching Tintin. It is so hard to explain how life like this movie was, to a point where the blur between life and animation was such you could hardly make them apart.

Suzanne went to work this morning and it was just the kids and I. It was a slow morning, the kids played and I cleaned up a bit. I took a an hour of so to work as well.

Right after lunch it was time to go get the Christmas tree. Now usually we go to Ikea, Rona or some other big company's back yard and buy the tree from them at an affordable price. This year, we decided to go hunt for our tree. There are a few Christmas tree farms, but the closest to home that had a relatively well done Web site was in Marieville.

When we arrived at the farm we were granted by Santa. We then hoped into a trailer pulled by a tractor and then were dumped in the field with tons of very beautiful but small Christmas trees. Most were about six feet tall I would say. Good for a small apartment, but too small for our big fourteen feet high living room.

We went to another field where we found a tall, big Christmas tree that fit our demanding needs.

The tractor trailer got us back to the farm with our tree. While it was being wrapped and placed on top of the Escape, the kids spent some quality time with Santa. Sabrina was all stressed 'cause she did not know what to ask him for Christmas.

It's a bonus. Not only did we get a Christmas tree, but I don't need to go do a line in a shopping mall to go see Santa. Got two birds with one stone.

Coming back we saw the most amazing sight.

It's already a cool thing to see a hot air balloon in the summer, but four days before winter... By the way the observant will see the shadow of our Christmas tree on top of the shadow of our Escape :)

When we arrived we put the tree up. As you can see it takes a good part of our living room. It's a big tree.

It doesn't look that great, but we spend a good time after supper decorating it.
