Today is Mathieu's last day at the Baobab. Because we're attending, I cannot go to the popcorn sale at school to help out. I gave an epipen to Sabrina to carry with her everywhere, just in case.

Mathieu's birthday party was fun. We had a little issue getting there but all in all it went really well. Here are some pictures:

As you can see, Mathieu is the tallest at the Baobab. It was time to take him out. It's with heavy heath that we do though. We've known Marie (Labbé) for a bit over 5.5 years. When we visited the Baobab for Sabrina, I was amazed at all the things they invented to keep the children stimulated. I remember that box full of dry rice with little objects in it, and kids had to fish for little objects in it. She created some very stimulating games out of nothing and was able to grow our kids in ways I couldn't have imagined. Thank you Marie, you will be missed.

Sabrina came back from school, without her epipen. We only have one twinject here and that's not enough for when we take a trip. I bought two new epipens at the beginning of the week but when I read the instructions, it specifically said not to administer to a child weighing less then 30kgs. She weighs about 23kgs. I had a similar problem with Jean Coutu when I specifically ordered twinjects with a year long expiration date (at $100 per epipen, it's really pricey, so it's got to last), got my order and realized at home that one was expiring in three months, the other in ten. When I called the pharmacy, I was told curtly that no exchange was going to happen. Real classy, Jean Coutu, real classy.

Hence we changed our dossiers with FamiliPrix. When I called they said "no problem". I arrived there an hour later, my epipens were ready. We did the switch and voila, we can now go to Tremblant. Thanks Familiprix, you are first class.

Tremblant snow conditions have not changed... will we ski? Whatever it is, it's time for us to get ready. Once done Suzanne and I spend a bit of time together before crashing. Tomorrow is going to be a big day.

March Break Skiing; Baobab

Mathieu is at the Baobab. It's Spring Break for Sabrina so we decide to hit the slopes at Mont St-Bruno. It's a beautiful day and the ski is great.

At one point, Sabrina is considering going over "the wall". The wall, as the kids call it, is a part of the mountain with a very strong inclination that can be frightening to anyone who doesn't have very good control of their skis. She looks at it, hesitates, then backs down. Next time we go up however, she decides to try it again. We go. She examines. It looks scary.

As we wait we are greeted by Isabelle and her son Alexandre who's in Sabrina's class. They're really cool and we'll end up skiing the rest of the day with them. As for Saby, she eventually decides to go down the wall. A great achievement for her. She's quite proud.

What a great day we had.
