good-morning. I'm just happy my last name is not Cracker. Sometimes I wonder about my sanity though. So here's the tree. The following pictures are from last night as part of the tree was decorated. As you can see, even though it's huge and relatively high (we've had bigger), Mathieu is still able to lift it ;)

So it's time to decorate.

Santa mama and the kiddy elves had a lot of fun going around and setting up decorations. The first picture is in the eventing as everyone turns around the tree prettying it. As it was late it had to be completed in the morning. I admit to great shame that apart of the cutting, the carrying, the setting and helping with the lights, I did not do anything but take pictures.

Suzanne is so much in the Christmas decorating mood she places a nice arrangement on the table and sets up the Christmas trees in our cabinet. Afterwards, she unfortunately become sick (darn flu).

It's okay, nothing a good blanket and a Kindle can't solve :) The kids spend their time another way, with Tintin whom I've finally got them to read, thanks in part to the great movie we saw.

Sabrina is reading Suzanne's copy of "Le Crabe aux pinces d'or" while Mathieu is reading "Le tresor de Rackam leRouge". Mathieu's reading is improving he's starting to make out some simple words by himself, without me prodding him to do so.

As for I, I spend some time contemplating the beauty of nature as I cook supper:

I spend some quality time being mesmerized by the beauty of the steam coming out of the stove. One of my few Zen moments.

In the afternoon while Suzanne was down because of a slight flu, the kids and I started work on a computer game for the iPad. It's really fun to work with them as they just spew out ideas after ideas for something that might be fun to play. Here's what we were able to cook out yesterday:

The way it works when writing software for the iPad, iPhone or Android devices is that you write on a computer first, running it in a simulator. Once satisfied you can transfer it all on a device for testing, then you submit to either the Apple store or some Android repository. Right now it's a little project I make the kids to show them what programming is all about. I've never written a game before so I find it fun, and since I can't do real work with the kids around, well, at least we all have fun (when I'm programming I usually have Sabrina sitting on one knee and Mathieu on the other). Here are the pieces we've done so far:

The Knight
The Magician
With this I bid you good night. Hopefully tomorrow will be a good day, as we have a lot to do.
