Lots of ice outside. The freezing rain left a 2mm touch of ice on everything, including the road, driveway and car.
This morning the kids had a breakfast at school. They were also permitted to go to school in pyjama. Think about it... No need to feed them in the morning, no need to dress them. It was an easy morning. I volunteered to help the teachers with the breakfast.
When I can volunteer, and I do, I get to see Mathieu and Sabrina in their school environment. Here's a picture of Sabrina with two of her three best friends:
Santa went to visit Mathieu in his pre-K class today, after breakfast.
Mathieu: "You're not the real Santa"
Santa: "Try to pull on my beard"
Mathieu tries but it doesn't come off
Mathieu: "Ok, you're real"
He visited Sabrina afterwards.
When we got home the kids help me work on the game a bit more adding some participants and a few monsters. We also fixed the trees and the water tiles, but I'm as yet not satisfied. Here is what it looks:
I've never written a computer game. It's fun to do this with Mathieu and Sabrina they are full of good ideas.
Suzanne arrived early today, around 4:00pm which was great. Furthermore, Sabrina had two surprises for us. First she gave us a formal presentation of her science project she did at school with Alexandre. It started like this: "Bonjour. Je m'appelle Sabrina Giroux, j'aimerais vous presenter le projet que j'ai fais aver Alexandre Cham..."
The second surprise was that she won a "three cheers" at school. Every end of month, two or three students are recognized in front of the entire school for their work.
