Graduation; Pio; Daycare

You went to PiO today, Sabrina. You had a lot of fun. I called the day before to discuss peanut allergies with them and I was pleasantly surprised not only with how professionally they approach the whole allergy problem, but with the quality of their lunch. No junk food there. It's salad, a normal meal, no pop. I was pleasantly impressed by the quality of their food. After PiO you went to daycare where I picked you up around 4:30pm.

My dear Mathieu, today is your pre-K graduation day. We can't tell you how proud we are of your accomplishments. You were nervous the night before about it, and it's totally visible that you're uncomfortable today, but you're quite happy when you see your mom has come to see you too.

We have an amazing time. You and your class give us a great show. We are so amazed by the quality and the quantity of work you have done throughout the year as we go through your portfolio. I am truly impressed with your calligraphy, your math skills and find it really cool that you're already writing sentences. You've worked really hard this year, considering it was only a few hours a week.

To be honest, I find the graduation ceremony touching. It's really cool to see you accept a certificate of accomplishment and your diploma. I know it's an important moment for you, as this is the first step you take towards your primary education. I'm not sure yet, but I think you were given the rare gift of far-seeing. As we leave you turn to me and say: "I'm sad, 'cause I'll never see Miss Helen again."
