Brome Fair

We went to Brome Fair today. In reality we were there to attend the family celebration of Sabrina and Amy's respective birthdays. It was Brome Fair however, and that's quite the attraction for the kids.

When we arrived, the kids were quickly tasked to help with parking cars while the adults relaxed and had a beer (Thanks Chris). Sabrina was good, but Mathieu was a champ, at one point getting a car a minute with his smile and friendly wave. He would even wish everyone a good time when they walked to the Fair. At $5 a car, that's a lot of money. Both Sabrina and Mathieu were paid handsomely for their hard work.

It was time for us to walk to the Fair, the kids being anxious to spend their hard earn cash. First stop (after watching the magician that is) was the petting zoo. Mathieu would look for feed the other kids dropped on the ground and feed it to the animals. Very resourceful.

After the kids did a scavenger hunt to get some fair dollars, it was time for a few rides.

We went back to mom's house to celebrate Sabrina and Amy's birthdays. We really enjoy these family dinners. It's fun we talk we laugh we all have a lot of fun.

Guess what, after dinner, we went back to the fair. It's something else to go on rides at dusk. Mathieu went with Alex, Zach, Sophie and Chris; Sabrina came with me. We stopped at the small animals barn where some were for sale (and Sabrina really wanted to buy that rabbit). We did some easy rides, Sabrina played games where she won plush animal snakes for her brother and herself.

We came back home exhausted but happy. It was an amazing day.
