Brome Fair

Today is our annual visit to Brome Fair. It was a long trip, the highway was locked down with traffic. We did make it however. Sophie, Chris and Alex were parking some cars and mom was relaxing on the porch. On the grounds we first went to see Nick, Amy and Zach at their camper and then went to eat. We met up with Sue's mom, her sisters Annie and Carol, along with Peter and Jason. Jason is Carol's son, a filmmaker from out West. We made it back to Nick's camper.

The camper. Nick is selling pellet machines and RC helicopters (I got one).
Nick gave me a demonstration on how good he is with a backhoe. With the machine he picked up three tennis ball on top of orange cones, place them in a bucket, tipped the bucket and placed each ball back on its respective cone. Amazing. I tip my hat to my brother. I had a video but my card was to filled.

It was time to ride the midway. Sabrina, Mathieu and Zach had a great time on them. First it was time for the bumper cars. Sabrina was a very determined driver.

A run on a super play park, a yearly pleasure...

The dragon, ah, the dragon. One of those moment when you wonder if you're a good parent. Sabrina did not want to go but we forced her because we want her to conquer her fears and do rides if we ever go to Disney again. She was a trooper. After a few tears and some forceful convincing she went on it. She did not like it, did not dislike it ("Only once a year"). Zach kept his arm around her all the time. Mathieu had a ball.

They did a few more rides afterwards...

Coming back to Montreal we saw seven hot air balloons. Real nice.
