While I'm still sick I feel a tad, just a tad, better. But not by much. Sabrina goes to school and Mathieu do some fun stuff together. It's a beautiful day today, which is great. At school, I don't think Sabrina is going to do much. The kids are all disguised and when I go pick her up, she's super energized.

So Halloween, here we come. Because I'm sick, I'll stay home and give candies away. I can hardly speak anyway. Megan and her family join us and everyone goes for their walk. Coming back, the loot is amazing. Just the may-or-does-contain-peanuts bag weighs enough to cost a fortune at the candy store. They were out for 1:20 hours. I gave away candies to more then 140 kids.

Okay I'm still sick and I've decided it's time for a sick day (i.e. do nothing). It's been going on since Wednesday afternoon and I want to beat it.

Suzanne and Sabrina went shopping for a new winter suit for Sabrina, and came back with a box of Krispy Kreme doughnuts. We don't eat those around here because 99% of all doughnuts are not peanut free. Krispy Kreme doughnuts are. Thanks.

I've just got the new Phaneuf book "Le Guide du Vin" who is now relinquishing control to Nadia Fournier. So far, a few wines under $20 I'm really interested in getting before they disappear from the shelves.

Oh and talking about books, if you want to give me an amazing gift:

It's the best that can be found. I would love to right my own languages one day (maybe when I retire) and this is the reference to go by.

This has been a very relax day. A nice walk in the park, some winterizing, a nice supper and possibly a haircut.

Ok so I wasn't able to be a real sick person today, it's almost impossible for me to stop :) In bed at 10:00pm.

We're inviting kids from school for Mathieu's birthday. I was going to have the parents but my voice is totally inexistent.

Something really interesting is happening outside. There is no wind, it's very cold, yet all the trees are losing their leaves really quickly, like a soft fluffy November snow. It's beautiful, and eerie at the same time. It makes the same sound as freezing rain.

We had the gathering for Mathieu's birthday, all friends from school, all we've known for a 2-3 years and more. The first thing about it is that except for Ben it was all girls. Next is that they all play nice together, though Mathieu and Ben were quite "alive".

It didn't go without incident. A lot of girls were helping Suzanne cook the cake. Poor Daphne had her head too close to the mixer and one of her ponytails got stuck in it. Suzanne reacted quickly by unplugging it right away. The damage was done we had to cut some hair for Daphne to go free. Donna came over and console her daughter (now missing a good chunk of hair) but Daphne wanted to stay.

Finally it was time for food, cake and gifts. Chloé unfortunately got some tomato sauce on her beautiful dress they bought while in Spain but otherwise it went real well.

Everyone left around 5:30pm, I was sleeping at 6:30pm. It would have been a full night but poor Sabrina had an ear ache too.
