Suzanne is attending the 16th Annual VES Awards in Los Angeles tonight. It's basically the Oscars for Visual Effects. Her company, Rodeo FX, has a few nominations at that event (and three films nominated at the Oscars). Chances are, you've seen a movie they've done work on.
A cool little fact, she's staying in the same suite (room) where two nights ago our own PM Justin Trudeau was staying. Must be pretty weird to sleep in the same bed our PM did a few days prior.
A little bit of who we are and what we do, throughout the years. A dose of daily weather and forecast, along with some pictures, memories and children quotes sometimes amusing, often reflective. This is a personal family blog to help us keep in touch and for our children to one day remember all the things we did together.

Some Serious Tubing
This Saturday we went out to do some serious tubing at the Glissades des Pays d'en Haut with the Prahacs-Roy family. It's the second time we go there in as many years and we had a great time. Except for the Vortex360. Sabrina stayed home to study.
Afterwards, we all went to Scores in Boucherville (after picking up Sabrina). It was almost a Tendres de Poulet night.
Thanks, Donna and Mathieu for the photos.

| Perfect picture. Almost, it's missing Sabi. |

| I know it's very fuzzy, but it's just to show that Sabrina really was there. |

Mont Tremblant
Every year we have to go skiing in Tremblant at least once. Because it was snowing we were lucky enough to have some fresh powder to play with when we first started in the morning. It became a bit rougher in the afternoon and the top was continuously engulfed in clouds, reducing visibility to about 10-20 meters. Mathieu and I spent our afternoon on the TGV and the blacks around it. We had a great time.

A new car
We had to replace the Ford Escape. It's been good to us for the past nine years, but now, with a few thousands worth of repairs needed to prolong its rusty life, it's time to let go.
Tonight we picked up a Volkswagen Tiguan 2018. It's a nice vehicle with nice amenities, bringing us back to 2018.
The Tesla is still slated to arrive in Late 2018.

Christmas and a bit of sliding
Like every Christmas morning we got up relatively early to open presents. The rest of the day was spent doing mild chores and relaxing.
Had to do some shoveling, of course.
To end the day with a bang, we all went sliding. It was a wonderful relaxing day.
All in all we had a great day.

Family Dinner
We had a wonderful family supper at Amy and Nick's. It's so pleasant to be together. We had a really great time and I'm looking forward to the next reunion. Love everybody very much. We all had a great time except for Pinot. He couldn't wait to get back home.

Party with friends
It was supposed to be a small celebration with a few glasses of Champagne, it turned out to be a full-blown cocktail evening. It was really fun. And perhaps one of the best cocktails ever: The Right Word, from Fairmount Hotels.

Star Trek Continues
I used to love Star Trek, the original series with Captain Kirk. The ones that came after were ok, but they never managed to truly capture the spirit of the first series. It took a real hardcore fan to do this. Here comes Star Trek Continues.
