I admire my son

Today is Pink Shirt Day, today being the day to make some noise against bullying and I got Mathieu to wear a pink shirt. He didn't want to (it's a girl's shirt) and wanted to take it off until I told him what it was for. I told him he could take it out but then refused, because it was the right thing to do.

Many adults won't do things like that. Many today will laugh at boys who wear pink shirts.

I admire Mathieu for doing something he doesn't want to do (and might even get him problems) for a problem that is real. He is stronger then most.

He was going to squish the heart

We all went skiing today. Suzanne and I skied together while the kids did course seven of eight. At one point we were ahead of them in a chairlift and when they came out Mathieu was missing. He was in fact on the chair behind. It would appear he fell off the chair when it was a few feet off the ground. Now at this chairlift when you take off there are a few ice structures and one of them is a big heart. According to Sabrina, Mathieu almost fell on the heart.

The snow was very heavy and somewhat hard on the knees. We decided to come back right after lunch.

To end the day we ate at a mexican restaurant not far from our place. It was actually pretty good. And it's right beside a sushi place that is good as well. Good food on the South shore?

A busy day

Today I got to go to school 4 times. First I brought the kids and came back to work a bit. At 9:45am I left to go help the PPO club and give all the kids in the school some hot chocolate for their Carnival day.

Then it was time for the dictée PGL diplomas, at 1:30pm. Sabrina is second place, Ben third and Sabrina's best friend Kiara 1st. Real cool. Poor Mathieu didn't rank (but Daphné our neighbour did :) and he was devastated. I made him realize that Sabrina didn't rank in kindergarten either.

I went to pick up the kids at 4:30pm to go to their swimming lessons. Don't say the kids are not busy.

Finally home, almost ready to have dinner, Suzanne calls from the metro station. She has a flat tire and needs us to go get her. We manage to make it home safe and sound. What a day!

Mathieu goes sliding; kids at work; Report Card

I had the privilege of going with Mathieu's kindergarten class to their annual sliding day. I had a lot of fun, and I suspect Mathieu did too. When many kids were cold he just kept going and going. He also spent some time (and a bus seat) with a certain someone.

The kids were hard at work this afternoon cleaning, cooking, helping. They are so useful.

We got Sabrina's report card. Needless to say it's really amazing. 90s pretty much everywhere, she's also better in every field. Really nice.

Here are the words Mathieu need to know for tomorrow. It's an issue, but he's getting better.

Birthday; Play; Slide; Dictée PGL; Resto

CONGRATULATIONS TO SABRINA WHO PLACED 2ND IN HER CLASS FOR THE DICTEE PGL, 3 YEARS IN A ROW. In grade 1 she placed first, grade 2, third and now second. I am so proud of my daughter.

Today started great. Sabrina came to join me in bed a few minutes before 6:00am and we had a farting contest (yes I know, not elegant, but the goal of this site is to remember what we used to do in our lives). I then went to wake up Mathieu who right away wished me Happy Birthday.

Today Sabrina's class was going sliding and I was going with Mathieu's class to see the play "La Chanson de la Mer". Here, Sabrina is sitting with two of her best friends and Mathieu's class is sitting in the theatre waiting for the play to begin.

It was a really fun play to watch. Mathieu has a good class with him. When I went back to pick the kids at school I learned about Sabrina's dictée PGL achievement. Ben, Kim&Pascal's son (our dearest friends) who is in the same class as Sabrina place 3td. We're so happy for him. Kiara, Sabrina's best friend placed first.

Mathieu had a little accident while going towards the car. A piece of metal from the fence was sticking out and he almost took his eye out. It didn't happen and he's fortunate, but it was a real painful experience.

Tonight it's Europea to celebrate my anniversary. I have something really special planned for it. We ate at "La Table du Chef", a special table in the kitchen. A real amazing place, amazing food and great friends.

Romantic Bon Jovi Show

Tonight we've decided to go see what Moment Factory does. Suzanne and I went to see Bon Jovi at the Bell Center. Bon Jovi is a client of Moment and we got to see what type of effects they do. It was kinda cool to see a show. It had been a long time.

We even saw Kiara's mom Francesca at her concession. Kiara is Sabrina's BFF.

Wine Dinner with Friends

Tonight, Pascal, J-F (Pascal's friend) and I had supper at the Quartier General. The idea was to try some very good wine. I really liked J-F, he's a great guy. Makes me think of Owen Wilson. A great guy.

Car; Ski

Our day started so-so but ended up being fun. We got ready for ski, truck packed and ready to go, all sitting in it excited when...

It didn't start.

There's power so it's not the battery. The motor is just not starting.

Anyway we managed to put everything in Suzanne little Merc and drove to Bromont for an amazing day of skiing. Our dinner date was cancelled so we got to stay a little longer. It was a lot of fun.

I think we were all a bit tired from yesterday. Today was a lazy day that involved a few board games.

Ski Day; Dinner with Friends

Today we went skiing while Suzanne stayed home working at her new job. We arrived early enough for us to do a few runs before the kids began their ski lessons.

I skied a bit during the lessons but I was cold. I decided to have a beer at the ski restaurant while waiting for the lessons to finish.

We were invited for dinner at Julie and Charles's place at night. They are Emily's parents, Mathieu's "girlfriend". We had a great time, and were introduced to a super good wine that's relatively cheap. You can see that Mathieu and Emily spent a lot of time together.

Now this is good wine, for a bit more then $25.

Suzanne is CFO of Moment Factory

It was a hard secret to keep but Suzanne is now CFO of Moment Factory. She's #4 in the org tree, right there after the three founders. A great new experience awaits her. Congratulations, we're all proud of her.
